CHARLES CITY, Iowa – An arrest has been made in the case of a stolen saxophone.

Jason Bradley Moore, 36 of Charles City, is charged with 2nd degree theft. Authorities say he was caught Friday afternoon with an alto saxophone that had been taken from the Charles City YMCA. Officers say they conducted a sting operation after seeing Moore advertising the musical instrument for sale on social media.

Authorities say when Moore arrived at a parking lot in the 800 block of Kelly Street with the saxophone, he was arrested. Court documents state the instrument is worth over $1,000.
