ROCHESTER, Minn. – One person is hurt after a car rear ends a pickup truck on Highway 52 Friday afternoon in Rochester.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the truck driven by Benjamin Eugene Schneider, 33 of Plainview, slowed for traffic ahead and was struck from behind by the car driven by Amanda Joy Rogers, 18 of Pine Island. Rogers’ car rolled onto its top and temporarily blocked traffic just after 4 pm Friday.

Rogers suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment. Schneider was not harmed. The State Patrol says both were wearing their seat belts.

The Rochester police and fire departments and the Minnesota Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
