UPDATE: One injured in Highway 52 collision

Car and pickup truck crashed into each other.

ROCHESTER, Minn. – One person is hurt after a car/pickup truck collision on Highway 52.

The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened around 2:19 pm Monday near 2nd Street in Rochester when Lawrence Duane Martinez, 69 of Rochester, tried to move into the left lane and collided with the truck driven by Jared Michael Rudlong, 37 of Rochester.

Martinez suffered a non-life threatening injury and was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment. Rudlong was not harmed. The State Patrol says both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

The Rochester Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance assisted at the scene.
