MASON CITY, Iowa – A man who authorities say was passed out while in the driver’s seat of a running car is facing a litany of charges.
Nicholas Mostrom, of Clear Lake, was arrested Monday night at 7:38 p.m. after being found in the 600 block of S. Vermont Ave. passed out. He is facing charges of conspiring with intent to manufacture/deliver methamphetamine, carrying weapons, OWI and driving while license denied or revoked.
A search warrant of Mostrom’s vehicle found more than five grams of suspected meth, authorities said. A black revolver “with what looked like brass ammunition” was located in the vehicle, and Mostrom allegedly told authorities it was a pellet gun and that he was shooting targets earlier.
He is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
