AUSTIN, Minn. – Two suspect are being sought after a Friday night armed robbery on 4th Street NW.

Austin police say an employee of Freedom Valu Center reported the robbery around 11 pm, saying two black males entered the store, showed a black handgun, and demanded money from the safe. The employee says the robbers took money from the safe and the cash register and then ran to the north.

Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger says officers tried to located the robbers with a K9 unit but lost the scent a block from the store.
The robbers are described as six feet tall with average builds and in their early 20s or 30s. They were wearing black pants and black hoodies with the hoods drawn tightly around their faces.

The Austin Police Department says it is reviewing the footage from nearby security cameras and anyone with information about this crime is asked to call 507-437-9400.
