Albert Lea PD: Citations given for people using handicap parking permits of deceased people

The police department said the handicap parking permits were seized and citations were issued to “the very much alive individuals illegally using the permits.”

ALBERT LEA, Minn. – Albert Lea police said over the weekend that “a number of handicap parking permits belonging to deceased people were found in use.”
The police department said the handicap parking permits were seized and citations were issued to “the very much alive individuals illegally using the permits.”
The standard fine for unlawful use of handicap parking is around $200 and an additional $80 in court costs.
