PLYMOUTH, Iowa - It's what many kids dream of getting for Christmas. For one local boy, it's a wish that's coming true.
Ean Nobbs, 14, got a brand new puppy over the weekend. He suffers from a genetic condition that causes physical and developmental delays. Ean's dog, Molly, passed away earlier this year. But now, he has a new companion.

"I could just cry. Knowing how much he misses Molly, and how he's already bonded with this dog ... He won't let her go out of his sight, and that's what we want," said Jennifer Nobbs, Ean's mother.
The puppy, whose name is Sophie, will be going to training in Wisconsin when she gets a little bit older to become a certified therapy dog.
Jennifer posted her story on Facebook and has received more than $700 in donations to help cover the costs of getting Sophie and paying for her training.
