UPDATE: Man facing life-threatening injuries after Olmsted County crash

Two others also hurt in collsion.

HIGH FOREST TOWNSHIP, Minn. – One person is facing life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle collision in Olmsted County.

The Minnesota State Patrol says it took place around 2:44 pm. Officials say 70-year-old Larry Dean Meyers of Hayfield was driving east on Highway 30 and was struck by a southbound vehicle on County Road 8 driuven by 24-year-old Nicole Leigh Vanderhoof of Rochester. Both vehicles ended up in the southeast ditch.

Meyers was flown by helicopter to St. Mary’s Hospital with what the State Patrol is calling “critical injuries.” Vanderhoof and a 4-year-old female passenger in her vehicle were taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Officials say all three people were wearing their seatbelts.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Stewartville Fire Department, Mayo 1, and Gold Cross Ambulance assisted at the scene.

OLMSTED CO., Minn. - Minnesota State Patrol tells KIMT two people have been seriously injured following a crash Wednesday afternoon.

Sergeant Troy Christianson says it happened at 2:44 at the intersection of Highway 30 and County Road 8 just north of Stewartville.

Christianson says Mayo One responded to the scene and two are seriously injured.
