KASSON, Minn. – A man who was killed in a deliberate head-on crash was wanted for third-degree sexual misconduct of a teen, authorities said Thursday.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a 2002 Chevy Cavalier driven by 39-year-old Anthony Vincent Mitchell, of Rochester, was going north on Highway 57, deliberately crossed the center line, and crashed into the 2003 Chevy Silverado driven by Kay William Zelinske, 83 of Mantorville.
Mitchell was killed in the crash. Rochester police were looking to arrest him for sexual misconduct.
The collision happened around 10:41 am near mile marker 1 in Kasson.
The State Patrol says Zelinske suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Kasson police and fire, and Minnesota Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
