Butler...Cerro Gordo...Floyd...Worth River forecasts include observed precipitation, as well as expected precipitation over the next 24 hours. ...Flood Warning now in effect until Saturday evening... The Flood Warning continues for The Winnebago River at Mason City, or From Beaver Creek near Fertile...to the Shell Rock River near Rockford.

* Until Saturday evening.

* At 8:30 PM Friday the stage was 11.3 feet, or 1.3 feet above Flood Stage.

* Flood Stage is 10.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.

* Forecast...continue falling and go below Flood Stage Saturday evening.

* Impact...At 11.0 feet, Sandbagging occurs on the dike from 12th Street Northeast to Carolina Street. &&

Flood Warning

Areas Affected: Floyd

NWS LaCrosse (Southwestern Wisconsin, Southeastern Minnesota, and Northeast Iowa)

.Flooding continues along the Turkey River from Spillville to Garber and along portions of the Cedar River around Charles City. Turtle Creek near Austin MN has dropped below flood stage and will continue to slowly fall. River forecasts take into account both observed and forecast precipitation. The Flood Warning continues for The Cedar River at Charles City.

* until Sunday afternoon...Or until the warning is cancelled.

* At 7:30 PM Friday the stage was 13.6 feet.

* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.

* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 14.1 feet by Saturday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Saturday evening.

* Impact...At 14.0 feet...Bracket Street is closed. &&

The Flood Warning continues for The East Fork Des Moines River near Algona, or From Buffalo Creek near Burt...to Lotts Creek near Livermore.

* Impact...At 19.0 feet, Water affects US 169 south of Algona. US 169 near Saint Joseph will be cut off. Sections of US 18 east of US 169 are threatened. &&

Flood Warning

...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 AM CDT SATURDAY FOR SOUTHERN EMMET...KOSSUTH AND PALO ALTO COUNTIES... At 1102 PM CDT, rises continue across portions of the Des Moines river basin and its tributaries, especially across Kossuth county. In addition, significant ponding is still in place across portions of the warned area. Expect conditions to begin to improve with the arrival of drier weather. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Algona, Emmetsburg, Swan Lake, Five Island Lake, Ingham Lake, High Lake, Lost Island Lake, Silver Lake, Rush Lake, Union Slogh, Graettinger, West Bend, Ruthven, Bancroft, Burt, Whittemore, Titonka, Ringsted, Wesley and Corwith.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall the past 48 hours will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots.
