Twins Take 3 Of 4 From Champs AP
Minneapolis, MN (AP) - Livan Hernandez got his sixth win of the
season as the Twins beat the Red Sox 7-3 at the Metrodome.
Hernandez worked six innings and gave up three runs on 10 hits.
Craig Monroe hit a two-run double in the fifth for Minnesota, a
night after hitting two homers in a 9-8 Minnesota win over the Sox.
Manny Ramirez hit his 498th homer in the first inning to give
the Red Sox a two-run lead. But the Twins got the best of Red Sox
starter Clay Buchholz, who didn't make it out of the fifth and took
the loss.
