Chicago, IL (AP) - Carlos Gomez has become the first Minnesota Twin to hit for the cycle in nearly 22 years, doing it in Wednesday's game against the White Sox in Chicago. Gomez homered off Mark Buehrle on the game's third pitch. He added an RBI triple in the fifth, and a sixth-inning double before completing the cycle with an infield single in the ninth. The last Twin to hit for the cycle was Kirby Puckett against Oakland in August 1986. Gomez is the eighth Minnesota player to do it.
