Young Finding Way Into Line-up AP
Minneapolis, MN (AP) - After his first month in a Minnesota Twins
uniform, Delmon Young is still looking for his first home run.
The 22-year-old is hitting .265 with just eight RBIs so far this
season. But he has made up for it with some jaw-dropping plays in
left field and an aggressiveness on the bases.
Young is second on the team with six stolen bases. He also is
tied for the league lead with four outfield assists.
Young says he's not worried about his inconsistency at the
plate. He says it's still early. The Twins aren't in any hurry to
see him hit home runs either.
Manager Ron Gardenhire says he likes that Young rarely gets
rattled and is willing to work and take coaching.
The next chance for Young to go deep comes tomorrow when the
Twins open a three-game series against Detroit.
