AUSTIN, MN -- Temperatures are finally starting to warm up in our area and so will construction in one area community.
Community members in Austin will be starting various projects throughout the city as part of Vision 2020.
That consists of constructing a stage downtown, cleaning up East Side Lake and Mill Pond and much more.
Although, Vision 2020 leaders say the weather did cause some unexpected delay.
"We would have liked to seen the stage have a quicker start," Vision 2020 Director Laura Helle said. "Just because we are planning that kickoff event on May 31st. And ‘Thursdays on Main' will start the next week and they are planning on using the stage every week. So yeah, we would have liked to get a little better start."
She says all ten committees will have at least one project they will be working on soon.
And says it will be very busy and exciting.
