INDICE DE GALERIAS
AUSTIN, Minn. - It might not be the season for garage sales but the Austin Area Arts Center isn’t letting the cool weather stop them
The center has been transformed into a holiday shopper’s paradise but the merchandise might be something you’ve seen before.
Members of the Austin Area Arts Center have cleaned out their attics, garages, storage areas and more to find those old, festive, holiday pieces they just aren’t using any more.
“We’re doing a play it again with holiday ornaments,” Bonnie Lee said.
Bonnie is one of the members in the Austin Area Arts Center and she said that she’s found this event helpful for her own storage as well as beneficial for the center.
“It doesn’t necessarily have to be Christmas it can be Halloween or Easter or whatever, but we have a table set up too so that it’s discounted at quite a nice amount,” Lee said.
A portion of the proceeds will be going back to the art center along with many of the pieces that are donated because members of the center can purchase things as well
“A percentage of it comes back to the art center and some of it goes to the individual that donated and some of the pieces, all of it goes to the art center just depends on which recycling bin it fell into I guess,” Lee said.
