ALBERT LEA, MN -- A cellphone company is answering the call for help in our area.
"Life Wireless" offers mobile phone service to eligible low income folks.
Today they brought the program to Albert Lea.
They say everyone should be able to make those important phone calls from calling 9-1-1 to getting in touch with family.
"The human need for socialization, the need for emergency help, the need for things like that," Advocacy &Chore Service Coordinator Angela Enderson said. "Imean people need to use the phone and it's important that everybody has the ability to make calls."
The program offers those eligible up to 250 minutes a month.
