After a long wait, home-grown corn is finally available in Iowa. Iowa grown sweet corn was finally being sold in local parking lots on Saturday. A rough growing season lead to a week delay. Up until now most of the stands in the area were selling corn from out-of-state. One seller told us, it's good to be back.
"Farm is down in Polk County round Grimes, Iowa and uh, it's planted in stages and uh, patches are just starting to, starting to come on," said Mark Johnson.
Depending on the continued growth, we should be seeing a lot more Iowa corn in the coming weeks.
