A Clear Lake family was forced from their home after a fire started Wednesday afternoon. Firefighters responded to a call at the home on Village Road around 1:10 PM. They found the house on fire and called in back up from neighboring Ventura who responded quickly by sending tankers to the scene to help transport water. Police blocked the road about a half mile down. No word on the cause or if anyone was hurt. As of 5:00 PM firefighters were still on the scene.
