DES MOINES, IA-- A homecoming ceremony is planned for
Tuesday for about 50 soldiers returning home from Afghanistan.
The Iowa Army National Guard says the soldiers are from units
based in Boone, Fort Dodge, Estherville, Algona, Storm Lake and
Camp Dodge in Johnston.
In Afghanistan, they provided advanced combat training to the
Afghan National Army and the Afghan National Police. The soldiers
left Iowa in February 2007.
The event is set for 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Iowa National Guard
Readiness Center in Boone.
