Clear Lake, IA--Minnesota had its big fishing opener over the weekend.

But a North Iowa angler is enjoying a big catch of his own.

Mark Kirchgatter snagged a hundred dollars by reeling in one of several tagged walleyes in Clear Lake.

The Clear Lake Fishing Club released 25 tagged fish into the water a few weeks ago.

This week the fishing club will release the biggest catch of them all.

A walleye worth a thousand dollars.

It'll hit the lake right after the annual walleye classic.
