Train Derails in Mason City Backyard by David Pint
KIMT News 3

Mason City, IA - A home owner hears a large thud  and says she felt the ground shake. A train car rolled over into Velma Tschetter's backyard of her Mason City home this morning.

The car crushed her tomatoes, cucumbers, and flowers. Tschetter says the Iowa Chicago and Eastern Railroad told her they will clean it up after the other train cars are moved.

Tschetter says the railroad parks up to 32 cars there all the time, but she has never seen anything like this in her 17 years of residence. The I. C. & E was not able to comment at this time.
