WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) — A Waterloo man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting outside a grocery store in June.
The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports (http://bit.ly/15Leq88 ) 32-year-old Antonio DeShawn Hutchins was served a warrant Thursday morning. He was already in jail on a separate charge.
Hutchins is accused of shooting 30-year-old Cederick Matlock on June 25 outside a grocery store in Waterloo. Matlock ran to a nearby convenience store and collapsed. He later died at a hospital.
Another man, 19-year-old William Rashad Burt, was shot in the arm during the incident. He was treated at a nearby hospital.
Hutchins is being held on a $1 million bond for the murder charge. Court records do not list an attorney.
