KIMT NEWS 3 - Christine Carrier has quite the story to tell when it comes to Pope John Paul II.
"This man sitting up in front of this huge crowd of people and he wanted to get their attention, but he didn't tap on his mic or do anything huge. He just he moved his hand up and down on his knee and this huge crowd of people just became silent, and that was the kind of power he had as a leader and a ruler," said Carrier.
And now the Pope of the People is becoming a saint.
What helped Pope John Paul the II get there were two miracles.

"There are two miracles one of course at an earlier stage as they are beautified and the second one upon their canonization," said Father Neil Maternach from the Epiphany Parish Church in Mason City.
He says it's not just sainthood people should remember these two men by, but also the way John Paul the Great and John the XXIII led their lives.
"You always have those people in our lives that we look up to as examples of what it means to live a good like and the saints are just like that," said Maternach.
And for Christine, she hopes people see that even ordinary men and women can be saints as well.
"Two different kind of saints there's the canonized saints that are on the list that everybody recognizes and everyone knows then there are those holy people who you encounter everyday," said Carrier.
