BURLINGTON, Iowa (AP) — Police say a 28-year-old Iowa man has undergone surgery after being stabbed in the neck during a violent fight with his girlfriend.
The Hawk Eye in Burlington reports (http://bit.ly/1bR9Dqw) that witnesses told police the man was choking the 39-year-old woman with his hands early Friday morning when the woman managed to reach a knife and stab the boyfriend in the neck.
Police are not yet releasing the names of the man or the woman.
No arrests have been made, but police Sgt. Joel Larkins says charges are pending.
