MASON CITY, Iowa (AP) — Ten businesses in downtown Mason City will be getting facade improvements.
The Mason City Globe Gazette says (http://bit.ly/18n54Q4 ) the work began this week.
The project evolved from a $500,000 grant administered by the city of Mason City. The businesses were required to put up a 10 percent match.
The facades are getting a new, historic look with realistic elements employed to avoid a contrived appearance.
