DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) — A man has died of injuries he suffered in a fight at a Davenport park.
The Quad-City Times reports (http://bit.ly/16rlb0r ) the man was involved in a fight Thursday night at Modern Woodmen Park.
Davenport Police Capt. Dale Sievert says he died Friday after being taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Police haven't released the man's name.
Officers were called to the park Thursday night and found the man on the ground, bleeding from his head. He was taken to a Davenport hospital before being moved to Iowa City.
Police charged a man with disorderly conduct by fighting as part of the preliminary investigation into the matter. He was released from the Scott County Jail after posting a $300 cash bond.
