INDEPENDENCE, Iowa (AP) — A 23-year-old Independence man has pleaded guilty to two counts, including kidnapping, in the sexual assault of a woman he stalked at a local bar.
The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports (http://bit.ly/1afZQJs ) that Matthew Noack pleaded guilty earlier this week to third-degree kidnapping and assault with intent to commit sexual abuse causing bodily injury.
He faces up to 15 years in prison when he's sentenced on Nov. 12. He will also have to register as a sex offender.
Police say in January, Noack followed his victim out of a bar in Independence after closing time, then forcibly picked her up, carried her behind a building and sexual assaulted her.
