Nancy Manahan and Becky Bohan have written several books, including a few on being lesbian.
Manahan even told her story about her former life as a nun, in which she later left the convent.
They also shared the story of how they met for the first time, and say they are proud of where the gay and lesbian rights movement is headed.
"Go from virtually nothing when it was shameful, illegal, and dangerous to being lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender to being activists in the movement and contributing our little part as best we could," said Bohan.
While the women have talked about their books many times in the past, this was the first time the couple shared their love story.
