MUSCATINE, Iowa (AP) — Police are investigating a shooting inside a Muscatine home that left one person dead and another wounded.
Muscatine Police said the shooting happened Saturday afternoon.
Officers responding to a disturbance at a home heard several gunshots when they arrived shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday. The officers set up a perimeter around the home and called in the SWAT team.
Officers entered the home and found two people with gunshot wounds. One person was dead, and the other person was taken to a hospital in Iowa City.
Police did not immediately identify the victims or explain the circumstances of the shooting.
The incident remains under investigation.
