AUSTIN, Minn. - An organization is asking for your help to assist neighbors with home and yard repairs.
Registration for the eighth Annual Day of Caring in Austin ends tomorrow.
The United Way of Mower County, along with KIMT and others are sponsoring the event.
It brings volunteers together to assist folks with things they need fixed around the house as well as lawn work and other tasks.
Organizers say it's always a great way to get to know your neighbors.
“Things have changed a little over the years,” United Way of Mower County Executive Director Mandi Lighthizer-Schmidt said. “We don't necessarily know our neighbors and so this is just a wonderful way for people to get out and get to know the people in our community and do good work.”
