MASON CITY, IA - In about two hours, hundreds of "Twilight" fans will fill local theaters for the first taste of "New Moon."  The second installment of the series is expected to be one of the biggest premiers in history.  Nationwide, theaters are reporting a record number of pre-sold tickets.

Mason City's Cinema West is no different.  Friday morning's midnight show sold out last weekend, even though they're playing the film on four separate screens.  Fans started lining up to buy advance tickets to this weekend's showings as soon as the theater opened this afternoon.

Tammy Smith said she's excited to see the film because, "first of all, the actors, I think they're really good actors.  And I really like the whole gamet about the movie and everything.  Read a couple of the books so far, but I can't go any further until after I see the movie."

The theater manager said the last flick he remembers selling out so quickly was Star Wars.  You can still get tickets to Friday night's shows, but they're going fast.
