ALBERT LEA, MN----A man is facing charges following a low speed chase through Albert Lea early Sunday morning.
The Albert Lea Police reported that shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday a patrol officer tried to stop a vehicle for several traffic violations on Broadway Avenue.
Police said the officer activated his emergency lights and siren to stop the vehicle, but the driver did not stop.
Police began a low speed pursuit and used stop sticks to bring it to an end at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and Fountain Street.
The driver of the vehicle was identified at Jeremy Scott Evenson, 26, Ellendale, Minnesota.
Evenson is facing several charges including: fleeing a peace officer, DWI/refusal to test and other counts related to the pursuit.
