MASON CITY, IA--
Plenty of people packed area stores this weekend--and some decided to help out the homeless while doing a little Christmas shopping. The Tinity House of Hope was out at Southbridge Mall Friday and Saturday.
They were selling wreaths, homemade quilts and gift baskets.
All of the proceeds from the sales go to help the homeless at men's and women's shelters. “We have 22 homeless men, we have 24 homeless women and we have 6 children and so this will help us be able to give them a beautiful Christmas,” said Joey VanZomeren, the director for Northern Lights Homeless Shelters.
The goal was to raise around $3000.
If you missed the sale but are still interested in helping out, you can call the Trinity House to find out more.
