FOREST CITY, IA---Forest City leaders are wrestling over what to do about some delinquent pledges for their aquatic center.

The facility opened a few summers ago and several people made a "Cool Pool Pledge" and were given a 3 year time frame to pay it off.

But the city is still trying to collect on 16 pledges worth $14,130.

The City is asking nicely and even sent around a final notice to those who haven't paid up in February.

The note from City Clerk Paul Boock reads; "After consulting with the City's Attorney, he has advised this pledge represents a legal and binding obligation."

It goes on to ask the recipients to honor their pledge and to make a full payment or arrangements to pay by March 13.

Boock said on Friday at least one person had come in and paid up.

The City Council is scheduled to review the list of unpaid pledges at their regular Monday evening meeting.

There is some disagreement over whether the names on the list will be made public at that time.

Council members are expected to discuss what to do next.
