CLEAR LAKE, IA--
In a time when many are cutting back, one Clear Lake company is looking to create jobs. “We have decided that we need to beef up our engineering organization considerably in order to maintain our edge in the marketplace,” said Jerred Ruble, the president and CEO of TeamQuest. That's why they're hoping to hire an additional 18 employees in the coming months. “They'll be engineers that will help us develop our software and then quality control engineers,” said Ruble.
“It's an impact of about thirty to thirty five thousand dollars that's going to stay right in the community for each job,” said Ken Bales, of the North Iowa Corridor EDC.
And that prospect has some palpably excited. “It has a lasting effect throughout the community,” said Bales.
TeamQuest will likely receive some loan help to aid their expansion.
“Well we're really excited that we're able to do this staff up at this time,” said Ruble.
Ruble says they've been in Clear Lake almost 20 years. He says the expansion is a necessary move to help the company stay competitive.
“We are enjoying success over the 19 years, so far we've been profitable every year,” he said.
Bales says they're definitely a welcome presence for the community. “From when they started to where they're at right now, we are blessed to have them in our community,” he said.
