MASON CITY, IA - At least one person was taken by ambulance from a two car collision Friday night in Mason City.
Eyewitnesses say they saw the red pickup truck hit the black sedan at the corner of Pierce and 4th St. just before midnight.
One man told KIMT reporters he did not hear the sound of brakes when the accident took place, but did see 4 people in the sedan.
He says the driver of the car appeared to be the worst injured and heard screaming when emergency workers were removing the person from the car.
No word yet on the extent of the injuries, or how many people were taken from the scene.
The Mason City Police were on the scene.
