KIMT News 3 & MedStarSource

Birmingham, AL - Kids with autism often have a difficult time reading emotions.

Now some of them are face to face with a new computer game that could help them get better at it.

The new computer game is called FaceSay.

Researchers at the University of Alabama Birmingham want to see if the game can help kids with autism recognize facial expressions.

The game tries to encourage kids to read facial cues by looking at a person's eyes.

So far the findings are promising.

Kids with mild to moderate autism got better at reading facial expressions and emotions.
