Wasington, DC - There's a new web-based education program that helps patients get a "feel" for their procedure, before they have it.
The interactive program, called Expectation Management and Medical Information, or Emmi, gives patients the information they need to ask informed questions.
Each patient is given an access code by their doctor so they can use the program on any computer.
Emmi teaches patients what to do to prepare for a procedure, and what to do once it's over.
Patients can even pause the program to email questions to their doctor.
For more information go to www.emmisolutions.com.
