Kristine Ward
Anchor, Daybreak

Kristine Ward joined the KIMT Newschannel Three team in August 2006. Kristine graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in Broadcast News and an emphasis in Theater Arts. During college, she was preparing for her future career as a reporter and anchor at her college-owned station NewsWaves 26, Malibu's local news. In addition to her college news she was an entertainment reporter for the NBC affiliate in Minneapolis and interned at FOX television in Los Angeles. Before leaving California, she made a guest appearance on the Los Angeles FOX affiliate show, "Good Day LA."

Throughout college Kristine spent her time off-campus working at a local church as a Sunday school teacher and youth group leader. She was also a committed volunteer for organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and The Blind Children's Center. On-campus she was an active member in her sorority Delta Gamma, and was a campus Resident Advisor for two years.

Kristine realized her passion to be a journalist at the age of 14 when she began co-hosting a Minnesota magazine show for teenagers. Also in her teenage years, she went on to be one of the youngest professional cheerleaders for the Men's and Women's National Basketball Association (NBA/WNBA).

In her free time Kristine enjoys spending time with her family and friends, fitness, reading, and being involved with her church. Ambitious about her career goal to become a credible journalist, Kristine is excited to start her dream job in Iowa. It is her mission to leave a legacy of integrity and success wherever she goes.
