DayBreak/Midday Anchor
After seven and a half years in the KIMT Sports Department, Greg Berry slide over a spot on the desk. In December 2007 he took over as anchor for KIMT’s MidDay and co-anchor’s DayBreak.
Doing news wasn’t a dream until recently. Greg thought he’d be in sports for the rest of his career. Opportunities arose and he swiftly jumped at it. He eagerly awaits the new challenges that the job will bring. Before his first month in the new seat was through, he had anchored KIMT’s Caucus Coverage from Des Moines.
Greg came to KIMT in 2000 as a Weekend Sports Anchor. A year and a half later he took over as the station’s Sports Director, a job he held until moving to mornings.
A big sports fan and native Minnesotan, Greg cheers on the Twins, Vikings and Wild. However, his true collegiate allegiance lies with Wartburg College.
Greg and his wife, JoLyn, have three adorable children, daughter Alexis and twin sons Ryne and Andrew. Time away from KIMT is spent together as a family.
