 Colleen O’Shaughnessy
Reporter
Colleen started with KIMT in November of 2007. She was born and raised in Rochester, MN and grew up watching KIMT. Her passion for news began at John Marshall High School, where she worked on the school’s daily broadcast. After high school, she moved to St. Cloud to attend St. Cloud State University. Colleen started working at SCSU’s news station UTVS on her first day of school. While in college, she did everything from run a camera to hosting a weekly entertainment show, but her first love was always reporting. She was involved in every aspect of news, and was the station’s News Director in 2004.
She graduated from St. Cloud State University in May of 2007 with a major in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Women’s Studies. She went straight into Reporting, landing a job in Baton Rouge, LA on Eatel News 4 before coming to KIMT. As much as she enjoyed the warm weather, her heart has always been in the Midwest. She loves the opportunity to work in her hometown area and report on stories that impact the lives of those living in her community.
