 KIMT and our Giving Your Best partners, Audibel Hearing Centers, Carlos O’Kelly’s and First Citizens National Bank sponsored the 11th annual Giving Your Best Family Fair at Southbridge Mall in Mason City, IA. The Giving Your Best Family Fair was held on Saturday, March 15, 2008.
It was a great day for kids along with their parents to come to the mall and interact with exhibitor booths. There was no cost for exhibitors at the Family Fair. The only requirement was that the booth somehow interacted with the children and had a game, craft, or activity for the children to do. Some of the activities included; getting a tattoo,  coloring pictures, making sand art, puzzles, finger painting, a fishing game, petting kittens and puppies, and even making a hat out of a newspaper. There was also a magic show to watch, a number of games, two inflatables, a clown, free pudding and getting Kid ID kits! The 34 exhibitors donated their time and resources to provide a fun day while educating people about local non-profit organizations and businesses.
Each year, the Giving Your Best partners offers the Family Fair as an opportunity for local non-profits and businesses to have a free forum to educate people about their services. This is one of the largest events under the Giving Your Best partnership  program and one of the biggest community family events in our area. This year was the biggest and best attended Giving Your Best Family Fair! Southbridge Mall was packed with over 4,000 people on Saturday for a very busy and very enjoyable day in North Iowa!
Once again, this one of a kind family event provided a fun, safe environment for children and their families to learn, discover, and share a few laughs! |
