The Giving Your Best partnership program began in 1997 as an endeavor of this station to give media assistance in promoting community awareness of our non-profit programs. "Giving Your Best" represents exactly that. It encourages and challenges our viewers and community to give their best by giving back to our communities. First Citizens National Bank, Carlos O'Kelly's Mexican Cafe and Audibel Hearing Centers are partnered with KIMT in this program. This is not a sponsorship, but a partnership. We hold monthly partnership meetings that determine the Award Winner and to work together on projects encompassed under Giving Your Best.
Giving Your Best is a program designed for our communities. It branches out to assist non-profit community outreach programs and fund raising events. Our partnership collaborates our resources to encourage each individual and business within our communities to "give back" by promoting volunteerism. There are many wonderful organizations that need our help. You are a valuable resource to these non-profits that rely on volunteers simply to exist each day.
Each month we award someone in our viewing area who exemplifies volunteerism and give back to their communities by donating their time and resources without asking for reward. If you know someone who you'd like to nominate for this award, click hereand complete the online nomination form.
In addition to the monthly award winner, there are several events sponsored each year under Giving Your Best. We organize and fund two "Family Fairs" each year, one at Southbridge Mall in Mason City, the other at Northbridge Mall in Albert Lea (Click here to learn more about our Family Fair at Southbridge Mall!). We sponsor and promote the annual Toys for Tots event with the Salvation Army.
