happening today, an event to bring awareness to veteran suicide. kimt news three's annalisa pardo joins us live to tell us how today's event hopes to make a lasting change. arielle and tyler, 22 veterans commit suicide every day... and that's 22 too many. the albert lea veterans clinic is hosting a walk this afternoon to bring awareness to the issue. a 20 minute walk to signify the veterans taking their lives daily. danielle elg considered going into the military, and now serves those who served our country, as a nurse at the albert lea clinic. she says raising awareness by events like today's can help bring real change, if people are more aware of suicidal behaviors like self?harm. if a family member were to notice some of those symptoms then maybe they could maybe help to say hey do you need some help? the clinic is committed to making it's message heard today. the walk is happening rain or shine... people who want to participate can meet at the clinic in albert lea at 4?30.
