motorcyclists gathered at the rochester harly davidson this morning... they hit the road ? riding in the 7th annual hero's ride... to honor fallen military members. big mo kimt news 3's annalise johnson was there and joins us in the studio with more. annalise? katie ? here you can see motorcyclists taking off from the harley dealership... the 140 mile ride took them all over southeast minnesota... retired command sergeant harry kerr is one of nearly 200 people at the hero's ride. a veteran himself ? he thinks it is important for the community to remember those who didn't make it home. motorcyle revving in the pocket of each of these motorcyclists is a pamphlet of names and pictures of veterans killed in action and police killed in the line of duty... another way to remind riders why they took part in todays event. all of the men and women honored giving the ultimate sacrifice to serve and protect their local communities... and country. there will be a knock on the door of some family notifying them that someone in their family has either been killed in action ? injured or killed or wounded ? and so every day the ride is raising money for the southeast minnesota disabled american veterans chapter 28 ? the rochester v?f?w post 1215 ? and the minnesota p?o? w?m?i?a riders association. live in the rochester studio annalise johnson kimt news 3. thank you annalise. late this afternoon the riders made their final stop of the day... at a traveling military memorial at the dodge county fair.
