much of the southern half of the viewing area saw decent sunshine today with sunshine also prevalent through much of southern minnesota through the afternoon. that allowed temperatures to warm to an average lower 80's. a cluster of showers and storms will roam from the northwest to southeast this afternoon, starting near albert lea and pushing into north iowa with heavy rain, lightning, gusty winds, and small hail possible. once this moves through, most of the storms will remain west tonight. in fact, the system seems to be stalling a bit more leaving us dry for most of monday with storms arriving in the late evening. it will be cooler with highs in the middle 70's. showers and storms continue monday night into tuesday. wednesday, thursday, and friday should feature plenty of sunshine with partly cloudy skies and temperatures warming from the lower 80's on wednesday, to mid 80's on thursday, to the low 90's by friday. there will be a small rain chance on thursday. storm chances return for the weekend with highs in the middle 80's, lows in the low 70's, and humid conditions. tonight: partly cloudy/isolate d storms west of i?35. lows: low 60's. winds: east southeast at 5 to 15 mph. sunday: mostly cloudy/storms late evening. highs: mid 70's. winds: east southeast at 15
