time tonight - people got together to talk specifically about transportation. dmc transit-vo-1 lowerthird2line:dmc transit meeting rochester, mn representative s from 6 different rochester neighborhoods met to discuss how the d-m-c project will affect their neighborhoods. presentations were given by rochester public transit and the destination medical center economic development agency. they say in 20-10 there were 165 thousand vehicle trips in and out of the d-m-c area. the projected amount of vehicle trips in 20-40 is 268 thousand. this was also chance for the public to voice their input and have their questions answered. xxx dmc transit-sot-1 lowerthird2line:barbara hudson rochester, mn "every bodys got some input because we really feel that the future of rochester is really dependent on how we navigate our transportation needs for the city and all the people that are coming in and out." those at the meeting say r- p-t is deciding against a subway route and sticking with busses as a railway system would be too expensive to install.
