this morning to learn about careers not in science... engineering technology or math... but instead... the arts. live kimt news three's dee stiepan joins us live with what students and parents can expect. good morning tyler and arielle... in just a few hours, students will fill the heintz center here at r?c?t?c for the young artists, young authors conferece. here are some pictures of last year's event. students from all over southeastern minnesota participate in the three day conference to learn about arts, and written communication, like story writing. katie hartman with southeast service cooperative helps organize the event. as a mother herself, she says she's happy to know her son will have opportunities to focus on arts. i know that he will definitely be going to this conference when he's in 3rd grade or if i can sneak him in before. only because it's a lot of fun for them to try out some different areas of interest. so whether you may or may not have an interest in oragami, you might find out you do have an interest in it. just to give an idea of how big this conference is... this is it's 31st year and they are expecting to see over 1000 kids over the three days. live in rochester, deedee stiepan, kimt news
