our area is known for its international re?nowned medical care... but its quickly gaining a reputation in other areas... kimt news three's annalisa pardo joins us live to tell us how our area could soon get more recognition for show? horses. a recent study by univresity minnesota shows that over the last five years the state's horse industry has grown to an almost one billion dollar industry. anne swanson and her horse circus sideshow are part of that indursty and she shows me just what makes her horse so special.xxx clicking his stage name is ? circus side show. but he is no laughing matter. a four time world champion, three time reserve world champion, he was the 2016 high point saddle point horse at the tulsa world championships. he's very playful but very serious when it comes to the show ring. which is why at his home at silver springs equestiran center, he's known as prince. anne's dad started the stable its horses being internationall y recognized, more people could be getting in the saddle. rochester really has an active horse community. there's been a large growth in the amount of horses and stables in the rochester area. and if kids are like anne's children, the industy could continue to grow. usually every day it's do we have to go to school, can we go ride? which is okay when horses like prince can also teach a few lessons of their own. i asked anne how much it costs to buy an internationall y recognized horse, and she says it can cost anywhere from a couple thousand to a hundred thousand dollars. but you don't have to buy one to see one ? anne encourages people to get to know horses, like prince, in their communities./// prince, along with another horse from silver springs equestrian center will be headed to the twin cities this weekend for minnesota's horse expo.///
