brandon wx weather-stngr-6 weather-stngr-7 weather-main-5 the clouds that we have seen throughout today will begin to move out tonight, allowing cold temperatures in the teens to return. watch for potential icy spots for the morning commute on tuesday thanks to refreezing. the sunshine returns tuesday with highs in the upper 30's allowing for even more melting just in time for another clipper system to bring a wintry mix tuesday night with rain possible through north iowa. weather-live-2 after yet another hearty helping of rain, sleet, and snow...we've seen the snowpack on the rise since early this spring! not just in our neck of the woods, but everywhere across the upper midwest and the mississippi river valley, we've seen snow totals much higher than most of us want to even think about during the spring season. and guess what...there is more on the way. the amount of snow we've seen, and will see, is impressive to say the least...however, i know we're all ready for 70 degree days and blazin' sunshine. remember when snowpack maps like this were showing 0 inches? that was back during the month of winter, if you believe it! now we're under a fresh pack of snowfall, looking toward more this tuesday overnight and wednesday. live in rochester, i'm meteorologist sara knox with kimt news 3. fairly quickly we will all see a wintry mix for wednesday morning and that will become snow, at times heavy throughout the day. winter storm watches are in effect for wednesday. delays/cancella tions look possible wednesday and even thursday am with 3-7 inches of snow likely, with more possible. our temperatures for the rest of the week and weekend will be dependent on the snow from that system, but expect below average temps for the rest of the week and for the weekend. in general we will warm through the forecast to return to the 50's by early next week. tonight: decreasing clouds. lows: upper teens. winds: northwest at 5 to 10 mph. tuesday: mostly sunny. highs: mid to upper 30's. winds: northwest becoming east northeast at 5 to 10 mph. tonight: rain showers/wintry mix. lows: upper 20's. winds: east at 8 to 14 mph. thank you brandon. / snow birds tired of wx-stngr-2
